Thank you for visiting Baloani, which I hope will prove to be a great point of reference for your personal philosophical
and spiritual journey.
My name is Paul Becque. When I first dated my wife, she called me Beqster, and the name has stuck! Now my friends and work colleagues use it too.
Since I was a child I wanted to know what life is all about. Consequently, I’ve studied many different beliefs and kept an open mind.
Buddhism and Taoism have been very inspirational for me. And, more recently, “The Secret” and our growing knowledge of quantum physics has taken me to an even deeper level of commitment to my discoveries. “Baloani” is simply a video diary of my journey and a reference point for anyone that resonates with my exploration.

The great thing about Bob Proctor’s “Success Puzzle” is that it then goes into details on how to achieve the shift. Here’s a basic visual tool from the workbook, which gives you the opportunity to map out your life.
I’ve actually taken the time to complete this in full detail and added the information to my Powerpoint visualisation board, so that the information, the thoughts of my “worthy ideal” are in my mind everyday, slowly
filtering down into my subconscious
mind, and eventually become actions
that I’m taking... an expression
of the ideas I’ve impressed on my
conscious mind.
On the left are the thoughts that
you have on an every day basis,
without any “thinking” taking place.
Take the time to list how you’re
doing in each of the areas and then
list what those thoughts might be
and why. I’ve found that writing
out information, typing this blog,
has provided me with so much
Insight.
Then on the right, list what you’d
like the result to be, and what you
will need to be thinking to achieve
your goal, your dream life. I know that I’ve only put a line, but I recommend you take the opportunity to write out an entire phrase or sentence, or go for a complete affirmation, the thought process that you need to be enjoying to become the person you want to be. It’s amazing, and you can see where you need to be moving your mind to... it’s your pathway right there, in front of you!
Paradigms are worth investigating... it’s the mind map, the software in your computer, the very thing that’s got you where you are, be it good, or bad!

Holy Moly! This is it... breakthrough number two! A “Baloani®” moment if you like. The first big lesson, was the fact that we don’t really think. We don’t. There’s loads of mental activity going on... but we’re not thinking. We need to calm down, and THINK!
The second most important lesson I’ve learned is the reality, the simplicity, the importance of PARADIGMS. It’s a word that I’ve been bouncing around in my head since I heard it on Bob Proctor’s “Success Puzzle” cd’s in my car.
And for me... this is the missing link. Some time ago, I realised that we really need to think about everything we do... what we eat, how we drive, how we love, what we do with our spare time... and understanding paradigms, gives you the opportunity to change the way you think.
If you’re already questioning my comment on thinking, take a moment to THINK about what you ate today. Did you just grab some food, anything. Did you consider what it would do to your body? Help it? Increase your energy? Make you fatter? Thinner? Was it full of vitamins or was it processed? Was it fresh food or a microwave meal? We need to consider everything we do in this manner. If ya wanna lose weight, THINK about what you eat and what it does to your body. You’ve heard the term “you are what you eat”... perhaps now you can understand where it came from... another one I heard years ago, was “think thin” and this philosophy, this train of thought, makes complete and utter sense of it.
And if you’re wondering why you eat what you do... you’ll need to investigate your paradigm.
Your paradigm, for eating in this case... is probably based on your childhood and the foods that your parents fed you. Then what you ate at school and as you got older, you probably decided what you like by taste and experiences.
Let me share my life. As a kid, growing up in England, I was taught that a Sunday Roast, whether it be chicken, pork, lamb or beef, was an essential. It was the one day a week that the family should eat together, and eat a well a balanced meal... Meat, two veg and potatoes. That information still rings true in my head today! And I think it’s fair to say that this is true with most Brits.
Fish and Chips was a treat! A quick, easy meal for mum, but a treat for me! McDonalds was the same. There wasn’t one in our town when I was growing up, and we only got to have it when we visited London... so another treat, but you got a toy too! Whooohoooo! Of course kids love it. And deep within my mind, I now associate the golden arches with treats and surprises... nothing to do with the food.
As I got older I started to decide what I liked by taste... nothing to do with goodness or health. Just taste buds! Not good. And when I began to work on the cruise ships, I began to associate foods with abundance, opulence. On the formal nights the menu offered caviar, salmon, steaks, pheasant, venison... and today eating those foods make me feel successful.
These thought processes are my paradigm. Understanding that provides me with the opportunity to change! Create a paradigm shift.

The fourth
chapter of Bob Proctor’s “The Success Puzzle” is focused entirely on paradigms. What they are, how they work, why we have them and most importantly, how we can use them to change our lives. This moment is illuminating, inspiring and liberating. It’s a breakthrough moment for me! .
It’s almost like stepping back from your life and being able to look at it from another perspective. I guess it’s a little bit like watching your child’s life, and you know that if they keep on avoiding homework, it’s gonna become a problem... or a like talking to someone about the problems with a relationship... it’s so much easier for you to see the truth about their cheating partner and what they should, than it is for them. And when we’re the one’s struggling, it’s all cloudy, hard to make a decision.
So how am I using these new skills in my own life? Are they working? Can I see a difference?
I’ll start by saying that I can see a difference and therefore, I believe it’s working. Examples of this include my new car, my new attitude at work, my ability to consciously think about what I’m saying and doing with everyone around me. This has proved to be particularly powerful with my wife who has taken the opportunity to let me know when I’m failing, or slipping into my old paradigm, which is easy to do.
I’m working on new projects such as writing music for the “Baloani©” project and will be attending a course for “success coaches” next month. I’ve created my best and most powerful vision board ever and I’m actually seeing my visions become a reality.
This isn’t something that happens overnight. I’ve had moments of inspiration, illumination, enlightenment if you like. But ultimately, it’s repetition and constant adjustments of my thoughts.
To think that I’ve only been
working on this project for six
months and I’m already moving in
the right direction brings me to the
conclusion that this stuff IS
working.
But a quick reminder that I started
“Baloani®” off because of the
idea given to me by Jack Canfield
from his book “The Success
Principles”... he suggested that
I could double my pay and my
time off if I was to follow the
principles set out in his book, and at this early stage... 25% of the way into my time frame... I’m feeling pretty confident that I can actually do it. And as we all know... just believing that it can be done, is a huge step in the right direction. I still can’t tell you HOW, but I can tell you that I’ve now got the confidence to move in the direction of my dreams with faith in my heart and my mind, that it’s all possible.
If you’re looking for inspiration, try Joe Dispenza’s book “Evolve Your Brain”. Here’s a man that is actually using his mind, his brain, to make his own destiny... and I believe that’s what excited sooooo many people when they first watched “The Secret”... they liked the idea that they could actually THINK themselves to success... “Attract” it into their lives... I’ve gotta say, at this point, I think it can be done!
Every day is a whoooooohoooooo day!
Next weeks blog is about “Infinite Supply”... And I can’t give you any clues right now, because my week has been soooooo busy, I haven’t even begun to read it.
From the moment I started thinking this way, life seemed even more magical. I can’t tell you I’ve got everything I’ve dreamed of, but I can tell you that I’m on my way! I can really see my future changing, brightening, becoming everything I’ve ever dreamed of... it’s soooo damned liberating!!!
If you have watched the movie
which I highly recommend... I
always call it “a scientific
explanation of “The Secret”...
then you’ll remember Joe Dispenza.
He’s the guy that talks about
“creating his day”.
If you haven’t seen it yet, take a
look at this clip... it’s awesome!
Joe has actually changed his
paradigm with regards to the
thinking process and takes each success as a sign that he is able to do this, to the point that he is now taking the time to “plan his day” in his mind and then make it a reality. Holy Moly! Do you understand why this stuff is sooooo exciting! It’s the key to living our dreams. We just need to “rewire” our brain, reprogramme our computer, the brain!
By stepping out of our lives for a moment and actually thinking, rather than being emotionally involved, rather than looking through the filters that we are so accustomed to, we can make better choices and consequently, change the outcome... the results.
If I stick to my eating habits for a moment... I can now tell you that I THINK about my body when it comes to eating and even drinking. The coffee has been reduced dramatically, the water intake has increased dramatically and I constantly consider what will happen if I eat rubbish food... will it help me get the body and energy I’m thinking of? If it’s a no, I don’t do it. Or I make a decision that I’ve eaten really well for a week and can now be “naughty” and enjoy some fish and chips... and of course, with a little thought, we can actually make some of our favourite meals in a healthier manner... don’t deep fry the fish, bake it. Don’t drench it in creamy sauce, add a little olive oil and lemon... there are soooo many choices... but we are usually locked into our habits... our paradigms.

Hi paul, I no you dont mind peeps putting comment on here... as you invite opinions and dont get the nark if someone puts their view across, so I’m still struggling as to why anyone needs a teacher, guru. Surely, and I do mean this, surely we can steer our own vehicle, isn’t adolescence our driving instructor... then in our twenties we throw away the L plates, and hit the road swerving in and out, and all that, it’s life, it’s loads of fun not knowing but figuring things out... just my opinion bud. ;)

Yes defo... I find I have to keep on with the studying to keep me on track and excited
about my life... and if I stop I start to lose faith and slip into my old way of
thinking... its a bit like a tug-
