Thank you for visiting Baloani, which I hope will prove to be a great point of reference for your personal philosophical

and spiritual journey.

My name is Paul Becque. When I first dated my wife, she called me Beqster, and the name has stuck! Now my friends and work colleagues use it too.

Since I was a child I wanted to know what life is all about. Consequently, I’ve studied many different beliefs and kept an open mind.

Buddhism and Taoism have been very inspirational for me. And, more recently, “The Secret” and our growing knowledge of quantum physics has taken me to an even deeper level of commitment to my discoveries. “Baloani” is simply a video diary of my journey and a reference point for anyone that resonates with my exploration.

It has been a

month of growth and success. Meeting

Bob Proctor, bringing my own dreams into reality and seeing a great possibility just ahead of me. However, I also came to the realisation that I’m so busy studying, that I’m not actually working on my dream life... or am I... is something bigger unfolding right before my eyes?

Assays 69-72

Spending time with Nick was awesome, it was great to meet someone that had such a good understanding of everything I have been reading, studying and practicing the past 22 months... he gets it... he’s using it... he’s making it an integral part of his life... congrat’s buddy! Nick is writing a book and currently shares his knowledge and experience with local youth groups.

Bob Proctor didn’t disappoint either! Having read so much of his material and listened to his work on mp3 over and over again, I was concerned it was going to be repetitive... but he brings sooooo much passion to the room, it honestly felt as if it it up. I was inspired, I was re-invigorated, I couldn’t wait to get to the next level.

Here’s what I KNOW to be absolutely essential to get there... I must plan a course of action and follow it, navigate myself to success. Take steps. Otherwise it’s as if I’d read a personal development book, like “The Success Principles” five years earlier, got all excited, followed some of the ideas for a few weeks and then slipped back into my usual habits, both good and bad... bringing the same results that I’d experienced for the past 20 years... Not this time!!!

So I took steps! I’ve since signed up for a Andy Harrington’s “Public Speakers University” and plan to take my new found education, motivational skills and coaching techniques on the road!!! Here’s the thing... It’s NOT what I mapped out two years ago when I began the “Baloani©” project. What about being a movie star, voice overs, theatre?

The truth is, I’m still happy to do all of that, but it’s not my driving force. For just as long as I’ve been acting and entertaining audiences, I’ve been investigating the spiritual world... visiting graveyards, hugging trees, attending churches, mosques, synagogues... praying, meditating, reading, listening and going deep within... I never found God... I invited him in... I wanted to be filled with joy... I wanted to find the truth... and until now, I had found my answers... today I have them... today I have the power to do and become what I want... and that is what I want to share.

I didn’t even know it, but the moment I began the “Baloani©” project, I had finally made a step in the direction of my true passion. But get this, in the years prior, I’ve studied entertainment in all forms. Whilst working on the cruise ships, I mastered being on a stage in front of thousands of people giving informative presentations and for the past six years, whilst working in shopping telly, I mastered the art of talking to people through a camera... it now seems like a natural progression of events.

During the past year, I’ve worked on another outlet for my passion... we created an album of music with lyrics and messages which can change peoples lives... and it gets even better!!! Whilst at Bob Proctor’s presentation, Nick and I discussed how expensive it is for people that really need help, to get it! If you’re down on your luck, wondering what the hell is going on in your world and looking for ways to change it, you may just about have enough money to buy a book or a cd, but you can forget about going on a course, a weekend of education, or getting a life coach at £80 and more per hour... when your struggling, you’re too afraid to spend that kind of money... but intonal is affordable and so easy to play over and over and over again... it can give people the motivation, the courage, the inspiration they may need to get going, to get started again, to dare to dream!

I also decided that I’m gonna offer my presentations to the young, to families, to the inquisitive at such a low rate, they’ll consider doing something they wouldn’t usually do. And if they’re struggling, looking for help, they will be able to afford me... it’s not about the money... it’s about helping... damn, it feels good just writing about it!

And then the realisation came... it’s time to stop preparing... it’s time to START!

The assay this week is focused on principle 55 in Jack Canfield’s “Success Principles”... “Be A Class Act”. In short, and it’s far easier said than done, hold yourself to your highest standards at all times. I’ve had to write it down and keep it in front of me to do so, every day challenges can trigger habitual reactions which may not be in line with this principle and you, like me, may need a reminder. And it not only makes sense, it feels good to begin heading toward your own idea of a class act.

It’s about maintaining dignity and grace, operating from a larger, inclusive perspective. It’s about improving your own quality of experiences, taking responsibility, helping others, increasing their confidence and capabilities.

Have you ever been around somebody that makes you feel important and cared for... perhaps a manager? A teacher? A family member? You feel privileged, esteemed, nutured and loved. You have a sense of being held in high regard and valued... that’s the kind of role model I want to be... to friends, colleagues, customers and most of all... my three kids, Solomon, Selene and Talia.

I’ve got some old habits to clear out, but I love this principle and hold it close to my heart... it’s a reminder, that with effort, concentrated thought, we can become what we want, we choose our thoughts and reactions, therefore we control the eventual outcome.

Be Positive About Money

Baloani Assay 70   -   9 October, 2011

Here’s an assay I have no troubles with... being positive about money... I learned from the Barefoot Doctor, a looooong time ago, “I love money, and money loves me.”

I’ve been saying that ever since I read it and I believe that I really do have a very healthy relationship with money. I’m not rich, but I ENJOY money, I am happy to earn it, save it, spend it. I see it as a source for freedom... freedom to do what I want, when I want, if I want. I have friends that are certainly successful and wealthy and I don’t find it vulgar or annoying... it’s wonderful... I want more of it, I’m happy for it to FLOW through my life... I’m also driven by happiness and NOT by money. It can be used to motivate me, but it’s

Baloani Assay 71   -   16 October, 2011

This principle makes complete and utter sense, and if you believe or have begun to follow some of the principles set out by Jack Canfield then you’ll already understand that you get what you focus on... so focus on what you want, know what outcome you want, find out what it costs to live the dream life you have in mind, begin to live it a little now... rent the dream car, eat in a dream restaurant, fly first class. You won’t be able to live the dream life yet and don’t over spend trying to achieve this, but dip your toe in the water, feel that dream becoming a reality.

My perfect examples of this are seeing homes that we’d like to buy in our dream location... my wife and I are going to see another home this week... we can’t possibly buy it, yet! Occasionally we eat at our favourite restaurant and by test driving dreams cars I ended up with my Cadillac... it’s not the £120,000 Bentley I’d like... but I’m soooo happy with my car, in fact it exceeds my expectations and I’d recommend them to anyone.

Joseph Murphy (1898 - 1981)
Whatever mental picture, backed by faith, you behold in your conscious mind,
your subconscious mind will bring to pass.
Know Your Finances

never gonna be as powerful as my desire to “follow my bliss” (Joseph Campbell).

However, not everyone has the same relationship with money... if you believe that everyone with money is selfish, must have walked all over people to get it... then you’re setting yourself up for financial failure. If you think that having money will bring trouble than it’s worth, you’ll avoid money... so it’s really worth spending some time to consider how you see money, delving into the limiting believes that you may have and not even realise!

Imagine find out that you don’t have a healthy relationship with money because your parents always told you that “money doesn’t grow on trees”... and I think most of us have hear that one! That’s all it takes for your to have a negative idea engrained in your mind... time for a clean up? Time to wash your brain?

Start with your dream life... map it all out... and I mean DREAM life... dream it all, don’t worry about reality at this point. Make a vision board about it, get the pictures on the wall, add it to a PowerPoint presentation... see it every day... think about it before you go to bed... it’s thinking like this that lead me to create an album of music with friends and work colleagues... it finally went on sale this month and I’m really proud of it... take a listen to intonal© and feel free

Pay Yourself First

Baloani Assay 72   -   23 October, 2011

This is an interesting principle and it’s something I should have begun a looooong time ago. Saving! Jack talks about “paying yourself first”, creating savings, a back up plan, a support system for a rainy day... I never have. Ouch!

There are lots of examples of how successful people pay themselves, from a simple 10%, to 50% to investing in current projects. Again, it all makes sense and I think most of us would do it if we could... and then the crunch!!! Jack knows that most of us, and that includes me, will come up objections and reasons for not being able to do it... but when you get to this part... he makes it clear that we could if we decided to... and I certainly could be “paying myself”!!!

My excuses include, mortgage, bills, kids, holidays... and as I began to go through my expenses I realised, that I could cut back and spend my money differently if I really wanted to save. Can you?

Bob Proctor (1933)
Money will make you more of what you already are.
If you’re not a nice person, money’s going to make you a despicable individual.
If you’re a good person, money’s going to make you a better person.

Now it’s not all good... Ouch! I’ve failed dismally at meditation. I have this gut feeling it’s the “missing key”... the little bit that I need to add, to make my recipe for success complete. And I really do enjoy the meditation when I do it, I just haven’t got to a point where I remember to do it every day... and if I do remember, I don’t get excited enough to want to do it... but I KNOW that I need rest and an opportunity to touch base with myself, my soul, my spirit.

This has already proved to be a wonderful month, because we finally got to launch intonal©. However, I also had the distinct fortune to meet with one of my favourite authors and guru’s of the positive thought movement... Bob Proctor. My expectations were high, having seen the man in action via YouTube and “The Secret”, and I love his work soooo much, that it interrupted my work with Jack Canfield’s “Success Principles” for two months.

The work of Bob Proctor has changed the course of my life, it has provided me with awareness and even new vocabulary. His work is interlaced with ideas and quotations from many other authors and inspirational coaches, but he continues to add new information which keeps his material fresh. It was an amazing opportunity and I’m so glad that I took it. I’ve had this meeting on my vision board for more than a year... another idea, manifest!

During the presentation, Bob recommends reading the final chapter in James Allen’s “What A Man Thinketh”. For two whole weeks, I’ve not stopped listening to the book in my car every day whilst driving to work... it’s short, but powerful.

I’m thinking that even a walk every day, as recommended by Wayne Dyer, might help me. I’m too busy... there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day to be a successful dad, husband, home owner, employee, spiritualist, blogger and entrepeneur! But I NEED a few moments for myself each day. I will try harder!!!

I began the “Baloani©” project by accepting Jack Canfield’s two year challenge... and then ends in January 2012. I have six chapters left in his book... so I’ll complete four more in my next assay and discuss the last two in my final conclusive assay in January... I will miss this! It’s like a personal diary, but you hold me accountable and so, I do the work... thank YOU!!! Be well.

Assay 69 - 72

Baloani Assay 69   -   2 October, 2011

Holy moly... I’m a little overwhelmed with the amount of information I want to share with you this month... I shot my video clip and it came in at 12 minutes, and I was aware that I was trying to keep it short!!! But I couldn’t possibly ask you to listen to all of that, so I re-shot a very edited version... for those that would like to hear it all, I’ll pop the full version at the bottom of this assay.

First of all... I met Bob Proctor!!!! Whooohooooo! And it’s a lovely story. Nick Shepard, who I got to meet through Baloani© invited me. I didn’t even know he was coming to the UK... so it was a wonderful serendipitous opportunity.

to offer me feedback. This is an album of foot-tapping soulful music accompanied by affirming lyrics... listen to it often and it could change your life!!!

Thinking in this way has also lead me to another source of income. I’ve only begun to dabble in it. It’s all new to me, but it’s fun and my expectations are high... if it works out, I’ll be sure to share with you. As you begin to think about your success, as your awareness of what’s available changes, you’ll be gin to see more and more opportunities... this is certainly true for me.
