Thank you for visiting Baloani, which I hope will prove to be a great point of reference for your personal philosophical

and spiritual journey.

My name is Paul Becque. When I first dated my wife, she called me Beqster, and the name has stuck! Now my friends and work colleagues use it too.

Since I was a child I wanted to know what life is all about. Consequently, I’ve studied many different beliefs and kept an open mind.

Buddhism and Taoism have been very inspirational for me. And, more recently, “The Secret” and our growing knowledge of quantum physics has taken me to an even deeper level of commitment to my discoveries. “Baloani” is simply a video diary of my journey and a reference point for anyone that resonates with my exploration.

Seek Out Clues

Blog week 10   -   5 April, 2010

This is fun!!! In this chapter of The Success Principles it’s suggested that you find others that have already done what it is you wish to achieve. Which today, with the use of the internet and libraries, is easy and results will be fast. For example, one of my goals is to be in a movie... how easy is it to find information or even biographies regarding famous actors? It’s simple... and within no time whatsoever, I was able to find examples of actors that had enjoyed incredible, meteoric success... which most people call a lucky break... perhaps it’s the Law of Attraction at it’s very best.

Edward Furlong. He was discovered by Casting Director Mali Finn at the Boys Club of Pasadena, and won the part of "John Connor" in the

1991 film Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). Urban myth

suggests he was playing in the park opposite the American

Academy of Dramatic Arts... Mali Finn saw him, and knew

she’d found her star!

Others paid their dues and put years of work in, at

theatres, television and finally made it into movies.

Anthony Hopkins. We all know the Anthony Hopkins of today, incredibly talented, successful award winning actor. Originally from Wales, he moved to London and struggled to find success. He said “I went to America years ago because I felt I didn't fit in here (the UK). I worked with some good people here, like Judi Dench and all that. But I never fitted into a group of actors here. I was on the outside; I was like a sore thumb. I didn't have any friends who were actors at all - I never did. I've always been on the outside, which is good. But it was difficult being on London in this very strange acting community. All that "theatre, dahling" - I just found it insufferable. It was just boring. So I did the thing I'd wanted to do all my life, which was to make movies. I've never felt a part of this profession, but I enjoy it. Working with Katharine Hepburn on The Lion in Winter

(1968), she said to me, "Don't act. Read the lines. Just be."

I said, "Okay." She said, "Watch Spencer Tracy. He didn't act.

He just spoke the lines." I thought, "Well, that's pretty good

advice." I think the actors from that generation were wonderful.

They didn't act. They just came on and they did it, and the

characters were wonderful. People say, "They didn't act. They

were always themselves." Well, who else were they going to be?

In England we have a tradition where everyone is acting. Too

much acting... This is a perfect example of some one taking advice,

seeking out clues to their own pathway.

Jim Carrey. This is an amazing story! I briefly covered Jim’s career

in week 4, so I won’t go into details... but it’s worth reading this

one, especially when you consider that he wrote himself a cheque

for millions and focused on it, day in and day out. Another

example of the “Law of Attraction” at work. And the story of

Jim Carrey isn’t one of quick-fire success... he struggled for years,

tried comedy and finally found his place in life... he followed his bliss!

Sylvester Stallone. The story of “Sly” has gotta be my favourite. I first heard it when I was in Acapulco, and somebody pointed out his house on a hill. They then told me the story of his success. It’s is hard to believe, but it’s inspirational, and the idea has been copied by many other aspiring actors, directors and producers... he wrote his own movie, and starred in it. You may

not realise the amount of sweat, tears, heart and soul that

went into “Rocky”. You may not even like the movie, or even

the actor. But when you hear this story,

this TRUE story, you may change your perspective and

find a renewed respect for Sylvester Stallone. Take a

moment to listen to motivational speaker Anthony Robbins,

who knows him personally, tell his story... it’s awe inspiring.

Let’s take a moment to look at some of the success stories of teachers and motivational speakers that you’ll find on this website.

Bob Proctor. If you listen to Bob’s motivational work or read his books, you’ll know that he came from a very poor background. He too came from a life of want and limitation. In 1960, he was a high-school dropout with a resume of dead-end jobs and a future clouded in debt. Napoleon Hill's “Think and Grow Rich” was given to him and it planted the seed of hope in Bob's mind. In just months, and with further support from the works of Earl Nightingale, Bob's life literally did a u-turn. In a year, he was making more than $100,000, and soon topped the $1 million mark.

Joe Vitale. Again, another writer / teacher that is not afraid to share his poor past. 30 years ago, he was broke, desperate and living on the street. Through a series of odd "coincidences," he found his inner calling and has gone on to great fame and success. Joe's incredible story of using the Law of Attraction in his own life has been an inspiration to millions.  He has shared his knowledge and discoveries through several best-selling audio programs. Joe Vitale has become one of the top copywriters in the world, and one of the most successful, respected marketers in world.

Anthony Robbins. You only need to read the first few chapters of “Unlimited Power” and you’ll understand the incredible change that Tony Robbins has created in his life. Born in California, USA, he became determined to change his life after a particularly low period in his life where he was struggling to pay his bills, was over weight and without direction. By the time he was 24 he had transformed his life and become a millionaire. He achieved this by developing systems which would change the lives of thousands more. Neuro-linguistic programming or NLP became an integral part of his current philosophy and teachings. Today his is a best selling self help author, motivational speaker, and advisor to many world leaders, sports professionals and business people. He is an internationally recognized personality and has appeared on countless infomercials, television interviews, talk shows, radio programs, and has even appeared as himself in the romantic comedy "Shallow Hal" starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Jack Black.

If you’re still struggling to find out information about someone that has achieved success in your field of choice... give YouTube a go, or visit the Biography Channel... here’s a clip from the “Biography Channel” regarding Bill Gates who became one of the richest men on the plant... the tv channel has done all of the research for you!

And of course, the idea of seeking out clues from other peoples success stories is not limited to actors, singers or indeed any type of celebrity. Perhaps you want to open your own bakery, laundry, travel agent, tour company... the list is unlimited. Seek out others that have already achieved success in your goals and read about them, meet them, Jack Canfield even suggests having lunch with them, so that you can get ideas and inspiration.

Sylvester Stallone

I really am a manifestation of my own fantasy.

So, you can see that this has been a busy week... but is has been soooo interesting reading and listening to stories about my heroes and people I admire. I think you’ll enjoy this project. If you come across any extraordinary stories, please send them to me via the form below, and I’ll begin to add them under the “Inspiration” tab.

The past week has really been successful for me... I have found myself talking to more people than ever regarding the “Baloani” project, the “Law of Attraction” and the number of people joining the site has increased exponentially! I received a phone call from Bob Proctor’s team who have expressed an interest in training me to become a Life Coach! Wow!!! I was overwhelmed!

My energy is increasing and my thoughts regarding success are becoming more powerful by the day... I can’t imagine failing! That’s cool... for anyone to experience. I also had a brainwave about doubling my income, which was the original goal I set myself, because Jack Canfield says that it can be achieved if the reader follows the instructions in his book. I was driving to work when a thought went through my mind... it’s was so simple, yet brilliant. So I took some baby steps towards making it happen. I sent an email within a couple of hours and followed it up with a phone call, to arrange a meeting.

A couple days later, I attended the meeting... and it was a success! Now, I haven’t doubled my income yet, but the seeds of success have not only been found, but sown. I will keep you posted!

Anthony Robbins

Looking forward to your insights. Who can't love Jack (Canfield)? I have been a huge fan of his since the early '90s.

Ritu Gulabani     6 April 2010, 05:05:32

Hi Mr. Beqster! The law of attraction has started working for me. My aim and aspirations in life are the same as yours. The only difference is I am a small Indian woman with two little kids who is working on the same lines but still in the stage to gain the momentum. I am highly impressed to see your friend list (on Facebook) which includes great personalities like Bob Proctor and Hale Dwoskin. I have become a great fan of yours and aspire to be the fan and friend of these great personalities. Regards... Ritu

Alan Roberts     6 April 2010, 08:32:46

hi paul, I’ve just watched week 10 on the Baloani site and the news about you possibly doubling  your income is awesome! In a  little over ten weeks, amazing...

I know you are not suggesting it is a forgone conclusion, but never the less, happy days should it materialise.

I for one am getting slightly repelled tho, please let me tell you why, prey do i here you say!!... I have done some  "you tubing" as you suggest we do on these so called "teachers" naming no names... what a load of tosh they talk, such as, well for instance don’t you think they talk in sound bites, sort of stating the obvious and articulating with there arms and hands and there body gestures, rather like a bad school play i for one can tell they are not naturally speaking without a well rehearsed and constructed  script, i prefer notes as opposed to a rigid script, i am suggesting they have choreographed there every action in sync to the story they are relating, I am uncomfortable with that... and that puts me off...  yet their audience clap like a pod of seals in a rather disturbing way. Bit like the GOD channel, but lets not go there!!

And in another story another "teacher" tells a of the rocky story, WHAT!!! people have paid good money no doubt to go see/hear him tell how he evolved his successes, yet he side steps and tells of another mega-stars success story, hardly teaching is it!!! I could do that all day long, you see this is why I, and I emphasise, that I don’t buy (literally buy) into this seminar teaching!!  I am suggesting it is yes "baloani", and to say that Anthony Hopkins "but he came from wales" yes "but" had he not of come from wales we would not of had this overtly shy tremendous actor that only wales can produce... Richard Burton, Stanley Baker, to name just a few others. "but he come from wales" was the making of the man/men. What’s wrong with wales haha, look at the beetles, but you wouldn’t say but they came from liverpool, sorry sounds like Im nit picking, but where ever you come from matters not.

Paul you do encourage feed back on your blogs, so i hope you see my reply for what it is its just my opinion. Take it easy, and yes, life is good as you say  :)

Alan.

Well hi ya fella! Good Day to you! I see you are into Meta-physcial readings too! I am behind the times just purchased The Secret the other day! Present reading here and there Science of the Mind by Ernest Holmes.... Have you ever done or looked thru the Course of Miracles???? Have a few books by Esther & Jerry Hicks The Teachings of Abraham, have you read any of their books? Oh yes I read that Life is a series of accomplishments and failures that begin with learning to walk! Did you ever figure out what life is about! Have a wonderful week!

Alan Roberts     6 April 2010, 14:13:10

ah, yes hmm, I totally see you point now paul! I guess I was looking at this from a slightly skew angle, when you started Baloani it sure did hit the ground already running, so I, for the benefit of exploring it, slowed it down to my pace and broke it down in order to understand it better. I have just made a move that might see me land a brand new car over the coming months, not a dream car, but never the less a new car... anyway we shall see.

Good job, man. I'm enjoying your posts more and more. In fact, you've inspired me to set up my own blog. Check it out at www.acontradictioninterms.com, and let me know what you think. I've taken the liberty to add Baloani to my blogroll, and I'm going to send your website to my friends and family. Also, I want to hear more about what Proctor's team had to say. That Sylvester Stallone story is amazing, but I find it a bit unnerving, as well. I don't think I could ever be that sure or that stubborn.

Vivian Weissman     6 April 2010, 16:58:47

This is great. I love this. I'm so happy that I'm coming across people like you.

hi paul... big night for me tonight... I turn back the clocks twenty years and start on a journey again that I stumbled and fell on (failed) twice before... this time I’m going to make it... so keep trying... you are only beaten if you give up... Nigel

Nick Shephard     7 April 2010, 02:24:53

Paul... I believe you will do it!!!! Your a genuine amazin guy!!! I’m 26 as you know... until I found “The Secret” just last March! which I believe I attracted to me... my life was a mess!!! Always unhappy, sick, broke and living in supported housing... so rock bottom... I found it by not looking for it... I didn’t even know their was help I could get in my life!!!

I fort “The Secret” was like magic fantasy!!! It seemed too good to be true!!! but then I looked at my life and I fort of course I’m doing sumthing wrong!!! to be where I was in my life at 26. So I started to study “The Secret” dvd and teachers. Came across Bob Proctor first as he was the first person to appear...

so I went to his website and looked around it and found he was in London in May (2009) so I fort well I’ve got nuffing to lose and just msg his team and tell him about my life... then went a few weeks. Weekend be4, a reply, and Bob was coming to London that week, I got email sayin if you can get to London and make the effort... we will sponsor you! so I couldn’t believe it... I got on the fone to my mum and off we went for that weekend!

So it feels like I attracted that too... meeting Bob I now know it was meant to be... and I fully believe he teachers the best info ever! In less than a year, so far... I feel Bob has given me a life... it was like I was in heaven... amazin, life changing, and I can say that!

I’m now out of supported living, got my own place now, got my own website, at college and feeling positive like never be4 and have more good days now than bad days then switch them all that in less than a year. Feel like I can learn now! Which I have, and so much wiser too... I have got Bob Proctor dvd “Science of Getting Rich” and I know it back to front... and love learning and studying now and love life! It’s Bob Proctor who has done it, and of course, me making an effort too! I just thank God I found this at 26! All the best everyone x

Ritu Gulabani     7 April 2010, 23:21:43

My life has changed a lot after reading "The Secret". In fact prior to this I was leading a very stressful life as a Banker. Thanks to my second child that I was put on full bed rest and took to reading great books. Now I have my own well defined path. I have been inspired by Jack Canfield's thoughts a lot and I aspire to be like you now. Although my brain is hardly one year old into this and I was not a very positive person prior to this. I too want to teach people "law of attraction" and "power of Positive Thinking" here in India. I have recently started "Motivational Classes" for teenagers and women. Can you please suggest me with the ideas I can work further on. I also want to work for the poor people here. Regards. Ritu.

AWESOME website my friend!!!

Pam Morrow Smith     10 April 2010, 13:20:14

Paul; So good to read your blog, and hear about what you're thinking and what you're doing these days. As always, you're full of good ideas and plenty of energy. Success, as I'm sure you know, is already yours. It truly is about the journey, and not about the destination. Keep your thoughts coming. Steve and I send our love, and hope our paths cross again. Pam Smith.
