Thank you for visiting Baloani, which I hope will prove to be a great point of reference for your personal philosophical

and spiritual journey.

My name is Paul Becque. When I first dated my wife, she called me Beqster, and the name has stuck! Now my friends and work colleagues use it too.

Since I was a child I wanted to know what life is all about. Consequently, I’ve studied many different beliefs and kept an open mind.

Buddhism and Taoism have been very inspirational for me. And, more recently, “The Secret” and our growing knowledge of quantum physics has taken me to an even deeper level of commitment to my discoveries. “Baloani” is simply a video diary of my journey and a reference point for anyone that resonates with my exploration.

Affirmations

Blog week 11   -   19 April, 2010

Let me start this blog with a positive confirmation that some of my “wants” are already becoming reality and others are being achieved as I write! With my focus becoming clearer each week and my desire to achieve them increasing daily, I am confident that we will enjoy amazing results over the coming year.

I decided not to write my blog last week simply because I was on holiday in Spain which encompassed spending more time with my family, and I knew that it would make my wife ecstatically happy if my attention was not diverted or reduced by my need to be on the internet and computer... so it was all left at home. However, I took The Success Principles, Mike Dooley’s Infinite Possibilitiesand my “Baloani® scrapbook with me... which allowed continued focus on a daily basis on the bigger picture and seemingly, more difficult “wants”.

Before I call this a wrap, I’ve got two more great stories about the “Law of Attraction” and a couple of fun video clips for you!

The first story is about my Mum, who we visited in Spain. She had planned to move there for about five years. But with the global recession and downfall of the housing market, she began to give up on her dream retirement home and looked at more “realistic” options.

Consequently, I bought her a copy of “The Secret” and asked her to put pictures of Spain on her laptop. I then encouraged her to imagine the perfect buyer finding her home and to make a “sold” banner for the “for sale” sign outside the house. She liked the ideas offered in “The Secret” and followed my directions.

Some weeks later, despite her doubts and concerns, she visited Spain in an effort to find her ideal part of Spain, a home or a piece of land she could build on. She was introduced to an area in Southern Spain called Almeria, which she loved, but didn’t find a property.

Upon her return home, she had a spate of potential buyers visit the house and a couple of them made offers which were reliant on the sale of their own properties. As the weeks went by, my Mum became despondent, but I constantly asked her to see the house sold and imagine (visualise) the perfect home in Spain.

Out of the blue, she received a call from Spain informing her that a family were unable to buy their Spanish home because they couldn’t sell their UK property, and had decided to pull out. The builder was prepared to sell the Spanish home to her for 10% less than it’s market value and include a pool for free! She would only need to pay a deposit, but would not need to move in, or pay the balance, for a further 12 months... she went for it and, very wisely, put an Architect’s impression of the Spanish villa on her laptop! (below left).

Within 3 months, one of the potential buyers was able to buy the UK home for £5,000 pounds more than she expected and she was able to complete within weeks. However, because of the lapse in time, the Pound Sterling had fallen dramatically in value against the Euro... Mum talked to the builder who accepted a part payment on the property, providing an opportunity for the exchange rate to improve and agreed upon further “freebies” to be included in the home... done deal! The villa is amazing, and Mumma is happier than hell with her dream retirement home... was this the “Law of Attraction” in action?

About
Week 11 - 19 April, 2010

Like every exercise suggested so far in The Success Principles, it costs nothing to generate affirmations, it simply takes a little, and I’m talking very little, time and effort. I’ll paraphrase the steps for effective affirmations, but Jack Canfield does provide full guidance in his book, which I highly recommend if any of my blogs resonant with your way of thinking.

Here are a few of mine which may provide your with a little more guidance.

I am expressing my creativity by acting in a movie.

I am experiencing complete freedom by learning to fly a helicopter.

I am enjoying living in my period home in the beautiful village of Amersham.

I am enjoying driving my silver Porsche Cayenne.

I am feeling freedom and relaxed on our holidays.

I am feeling the love of my family by spending more time together.

When you’re writing out your affirmations, only make them for yourself and not others, and think about adding “or something better” to any of them which opens up your options and removes our self made limitations.

Whilst in Spain, I met a lovely chap, a new friend of my Mum, called Manuel. We talked about many things, and after some time I began talking about this blog, the “Baloani®” project and the “Law of Attraction”. Manuel had not heard of “The Secret”... but told me that he believed in it, because of a personal experience.

When Manuel was 24, he had been studying in London. Unfortunately, he had run out of cash... not running out, but run out... no more money, broke, brassic, not a penny to his name. He had to find somewhere else to live and was feeling desperate.

After looking through a local newspaper he found a flat-share that sounded perfect. He called and was given the address... it was too far to walk, and he would have to catch “The Tube” (London’s underground train) to Zone 3. But he didn’t have money!!! He wanted to break down, to cry, to give up and head home to Spain... and at this breaking point, he heard a voice in his head, which very clearly, very loudly, asked him if he really wanted to stay, to visit the flat, or to head home? He thought about it for a moment and knew in his heart that he wanted to stay in London and finish his studies.

The voice then directed him to a telephone box, about 10 feet away. To his surprise he followed the instruction. Inside the phone box, the voice told him to put his hand above the wall mounted phone... again, he followed the instruction, and felt around the top of the phone to find an all-day pass including travel for Zones 1-6.

Manuel believes that this was the Law of Attraction” in action... the voice of the Universe speaking to him! He went on to explain that he visited the flat, stayed there, found a job, finished school and met his future wife... Wow! What a brilliant story... you see, just talking about this stuff can bring amazing people into your life... I love it!!!

Every thought of yours is a real thing - a force.

The task for the past week was focused on the first of three brilliant tools for helping to make the “wants” a much clearer reality, a powerful and compelling image of your future, and more importantly, if the “Law of Attraction” is a real force, it is the next level of magnetism!

This is easy to do and it can help reduce any internal, negative self-talk that you may have been experiencing. Remember, in week 8, I was telling you about the roller coaster of emotions I was facing, and I’m confident that anyone who is trying this new way of thinking for the first time will be going through a similar journey... it’s not easy to suddenly tell yourself that you can have anything you want... it’s not something we’re familiar with or know that works... we know that we can go to the supermarket or a giant DIY store and make a choice of millions of products, things that we need, but this is different... it’s our dream life, surely it can’t be as easy as going to the “store of life” and choosing what we want?

That’s what this site is dedicated to finding out... if that suggestion is baloney?

All the resources we need are in the mind.

And finally, the video clips. I usually shoot the video blogs in one go... no messing, no preparation, no shaving, no change of clothes or even a comb... you’ve probably noticed... but again, I’m a busy guy... full time job, married, kids, mortgage, cars that break down, friends and family that need help, and a blog! So I just get on with it and shoot in one go... unless of course, something were to go drastically wrong... and this week, in Spain, it did!

Until now, I’ve always been at home, in my lounge, pretty safe and quiet... but I wanted you to see that I was really in Spain, so I decided to shoot the blog outside on the sun terrace with the olive trees, orange groves and coastal mountains in the background... I didn’t expect these events!

Next week, we move onto visualisation, which for me is the most powerful tool that we have... and funnily enough, you can hear yourself confirming this in everyday speech... for example, have you ever said “I can see myself doing that”? or “I can picture it now”? or “I can imagine you doing that”?

For me these are all clues to the fact that we already KNOW how important visualisation is, but we just don’t get on with it. If you are into visualisation, or want to get ahead of the game, I recommend Mike Dooley’s work... he’s the guy in “The Secret” who says “thoughts become things” and gets the man to drive his imaginary car.

Great Blog. I love the law of attraction stories, they are plentiful in everyone\'s life and I love hearing about them. I may try your approach with my mother who is the same place as your mum. Thank you for sharing!
