Thank you for visiting Baloani, which I hope will prove to be a great point of reference for your personal philosophical
and spiritual journey.
My name is Paul Becque. When I first dated my wife, she called me Beqster, and the name has stuck! Now my friends and work colleagues use it too.
Since I was a child I wanted to know what life is all about. Consequently, I’ve studied many different beliefs and kept an open mind.
Buddhism and Taoism have been very inspirational for me. And, more recently, “The Secret” and our growing knowledge of quantum physics has taken me to an even deeper level of commitment to my discoveries. “Baloani” is simply a video diary of my journey and a reference point for anyone that resonates with my exploration.

Blog week 15 -
This week, I have kinda gone astray by writing a blog about one paragraph in Jack Canfield’s book “The Success Principles”. At the end of chapter 11, he briefly shares an idea created by Azim Jamal (a prominent motivational speaker from Canada), who suggests 20 minutes of visualisation, 20 minutes of exercise and 20 minutes of reading each day... it sounded like a great idea to me... and I’ve been told since that other prominent speakers such as Anthony Robbins have also encouraged it... so perhaps it’s not a new idea, but it’s certainly the first time I’ve tried it... and here’s an interesting fact... I bought Jack’s book the first year it came out in 2005, and here I am five years later, not only picking up on the note, but finally taking action toward it.
I wonder how many of us buy the books, read ‘em and put ‘em down again. We get sooooo excited during the read, plan to make change, and then go buy another book to keep us going, keep us saying that we’re gonna do it. Does that sound like you? I’ve got no choice but to put my hand in the air and say “it’s me”... I’ve got a library of motivational, inspirational, personal development books... and I know the information is kicking around in my head... I know I believe in it all... but have I taken action? Until now... until this year... until this blog (which is leveraging you as my accountability partner)... NO!
Yes I’ve dabbled. Yes I can tell you stories where I’ve used the information. Yes I can give you examples of when I think it’s helped, and even KNOW it’s helped... but have I lived it? Breathed it? Made my body vibrate at a different rate and become energised because of it?... NO!
But I can honestly tell you... that NOW, I am. Thanks to YOU. No joke! I really appreciate all the subscriptions to the newsletter and the adds on facebook. Each week I am now “forced” to get to the next level... and I’m loving’ it. I’m eating, breathing, working, dreaming and sleeping it... even my family, friends and colleagues at work are being affected by it.
Rock on “Law of Attraction”! Thank you to Rhonda Byrne for “The Secret” which really made this stuff main stream and let me know that I wasn’t alone in my pursuit for answers... thank you to Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield, Mike Dooley and everyone that participated in “The Secret”... it has changed my way of thinking... it has changed my paradigm and I’m sooooo happy.

The first time I did an “Hour of Power”, I didn’t put any thought into the order in which I exercised, read and meditated. And it worked out just fine, but with some thought, I came to the conclusion that the right order (at least for me) would be to read for 20 minutes, which I could then think about whilst exercising and in the final 20 minutes it would still be in my head and the meditation would also be a great way to cool down from the physical work out.
MY HOUR OF POWER
20 mins of Reading
20 mins of Exercise
20 mins of Meditation
So, for five of the seven days this week, I read Bob Proctor’s “Success Puzzle” for 20 minutes, jumped on my Lateral Thigh Trainer and worked out with Brenda DyGraf and then sat in my desk chair and listened to the meditational sounds of “The Dive” by “Holosync” (ran by Bill Harris at Centerpointe).
It’s great, I love it!
It has finally got me exercising. To this point I’ve been using the stairs instead of elevators, walking to the stores instead of driving, and included gardening as part of my exercise regime... well the difference is immense. I don’t wanna gross anyone out... but I did take some photos a few weeks ago so that I would be able to see the difference that a change of diet would make (which I discussed in week 6). Well it’s clear.
So now I’m going for GOLD! I’ve added the pic’s of the abs, because I can see myself doing that with continued exercise and use of the new diet (which I found really easy to follow). I’m not thinking of becoming completely toned and cut or walking around with a six pack. I just wanna get into my shorts and swim suit, and feel good. My wife is gonna love it too! The key is continued determination!
I owe a lot of this success to my buddy, Tyler (week 6)... I sure am glad he came to visit London! If you’d like to ask him for help, advice or to become an internet Accountability Partner... drop him a line, or visit Training Redefined.
I’ve been reading the “Success Puzzle” by Bob Proctor and it’s one of the best development books I’ve owned... it’s actually a “box set” complete with mp3 files, which I listen to in the car, and the book is a “work book” which gets you thinking, whilst being interactive with the material. It’s compact, concise and excellent material for anyone that wants to accelerate their success. It covers an array of subjects from “worthy ideals” to “paradigms”... which I believe, is gonna become a word that’s used more and more and more. I tell you more about the book when I’ve completed and digested it fully.
I’ve mentioned meditation a few times in the last few weeks because I received the package from “Holosync”, which suggests it can have you meditating like a Buddhist monk at the push of a button... and again, I’m reluctant to share with you until I have really absorbed the course and can come to some conclusions... but my first thoughts are amazing... I love it.
The great thing about the “Holosync” system is the fact that the listener does not have to focus... does not have to try and do anything, except listen, relax and let the mind run wild. There is no need to visualise or try to force your mind to go anywhere... whatever it is does is perfect.
In the past I’ve had courses that require the listener to focus on a ball swinging to and fro, or had to chant, or concentrate on my breathing... “Holosync” is easer. But easier isn’t necessarily better, and I didn’t know what to expect. Well, I can tell you that I’m now sleeping like a puppy. I’m feeling really positive. I’m getting ready to propel myself to the next level. I want to double my income. I can taste the life of my dreams... I’m even going test drive cars this weekend!
My wife has also been listening to the “Holosync” cd’s and she’s enjoying them too. Is it making a difference? I don’t know. Do I feel great?... better than before?... Yes! Could it be because of the cd’s?... Certainly!

At the end of chapter 11 in
“The Success Principles” there is a brief note regarding the “Hour of Power”, which for some reason, jumped off of the page at me. It’s a 60 minute workout... 20 mins of reading, 20 mins of physical exercise and 20 mins of meditation. It’s been amazing...
I recommend it.

Well, the easy bit, is now over! The planning, the visualising, the listing of tools... is done. Next week we start to take action... baby steps towards making these dreams a reality, the true test of this site, the ultimate goal, to see if the “Law of Attraction” is a force, just like gravity.
It’s exciting, but it’s frightening. It’s coming to the crunch... put your money where your mouth is, don’t sit and write about it, get out there and do it. I can feel the buzz inside me... some might call it nerves... I prefer to think of it as the energy levels rising, the vibration of my soul increasing and moving toward the ultimate goal.

I first discovered Hour of Power a few years ago when listening to "Get the Edge" from Tony Robbins and thought, "Hey, I could apply this when I need to get organized or get project stuff done as well, right?" It's great to be able to apply it in other areas of life to GSD (get stuff done!) ! :)

The “Success Principles” changed my life! I have to keep reading it time and time again. I have done the hour of power and it feels amazing and as though you have accomplished so much!

Just stopping by to say "hello". I hope to meet you in person some day and very honored to be your friend. Hope all is well with you. Many Blessings, Janet

Absolutely Beqster! An Hour of power really works. Even if I am not able to meditate, I confer with myself and amazingly I get solutions for almost all my problems. Further, as far as exercise is concerned, I recommend Yoga as Yoga improves concentration and has cure for almost all of the diseases. Reading, if a passion... or hobby, can create a great difference in your life. Yes indeed! this is a real great idea to improve and to start falling in love with your life. ......ritu
