Thank you for visiting Baloani, which I hope will prove to be a great point of reference for your personal philosophical

and spiritual journey.

My name is Paul Becque. When I first dated my wife, she called me Beqster, and the name has stuck! Now my friends and work colleagues use it too.

Since I was a child I wanted to know what life is all about. Consequently, I’ve studied many different beliefs and kept an open mind.

Buddhism and Taoism have been very inspirational for me. And, more recently, “The Secret” and our growing knowledge of quantum physics has taken me to an even deeper level of commitment to my discoveries. “Baloani” is simply a video diary of my journey and a reference point for anyone that resonates with my exploration.

Why You’re Here

Blog week 2   -   8 February, 2010

Second week, and already a break through! Before I go into details about the task for week two, let me share with you the results of continuing to apply the work from week one. New meaning and understanding came to me whilst “taking 100% responsibility for my life” and using the equation  E + R = O (see the blog for week 1).

Every day I thought about this suggestion, and the fact that I had control over my thoughts. And each day my understanding increased and my application of the rule became really exciting. It was as if I had learned to step outside of myself and look at what I was doing, it was as if I had woken up... and actually began to think! It made me realise that “everyday thinking” was simply me following a pattern that I had learned... for example, getting out of bed and immediately having coffee... grabbing a bite to eat when I felt hungry... getting annoyed at work when things weren’t going my way... it is all a response pattern that I’ve learned and follow without real thought.

This has proved

to be an exciting week for Baloani®”

because Beqster already feels that he has found an exciting piece of information that has changed his way of “thinking” and begun to improve his life. Putting attention on his daily habitual thoughts has caused a change

                                       for good.

Week 2

So this week, I really started to think. Last week, I said that I had been able to change my feelings whilst driving and visiting a busy supermarket... but this week, I was THINKING about everything. The food I ate, the way I drove, the way I talk to my wife, the amount of time I spend with my kids... actually thinking... it was like waking up... having been in someone else’s life, and now I was ready to reclaim my own... and the more I thought about that, the more energy I could feel inside me... I actually found it hard to go to sleep and woke up earlier, because I couldn’t wait to get on with the day! It was unbelievable... exciting... really exciting!

So, if you want to follow these ideas... I gotta tell you to work on that first chapter. Don’t do what I’ve done in the past... read it, and presume you’ve understood it. Understanding isn’t enough. You’ve got to get it into your psyche and make it a new way of life. I honestly feel that I have had an incredible shift in perception, awakened my consciousness and moved into a new paradigm. It’s amazing. It’s life changing.

Last week I wrote “If I can change my behaviour, I can change the outcome.” I had no idea how powerful and truthful that statement would prove to be. It’s rocked my world.

If you want to know more about this particular area, Bob Proctor calls it the

Law of Thinking and deals with it in depth in the 11 Forgotten Laws. Mary Morrissey suggests that this small change in thinking is just the start. Imagine if you changed the direction you were travelling by one degree... after 100 miles your final destination would have changed considerably... after 1,000 miles it would have changed even more. We can do this with our lives... by changing the way we think now... even by 1%, where we will be in 1 year, 10 years, 20 years will be completely different.

A fun example is “Back to the Future”. Marty McFly changes a tiny detail when he goes back in time and his future has changed forever!

So, onto chapter two. Jack Canfield asks us to define our life purpose. This wasn’t as easy as I thought. I took several days to be able to write them out... and funnily enough, despite the book being four or five years old, I had not written in it. So clearly, it was another chapter that I thought I had understood and moved on. By now, I clearly appreciate the need to complete the exercises and apply the suggestions.

Jack provides an approach for defining your life purpose which he learned from Arnold M Patent.

After combining the subdivisions,

I came up with this personal mission statement.

“My purpose is to use my creativity and enthusiasm

to entertain and inspire others

to laugh and find peace within themselves,

whilst helping everyone to prosper in all aspects of their life.”

Wow... that is not what I expected... but it is what I wrote and I can see how it would fit into my life... so I’m going with it. Jack suggests that you read it every morning and even take time to reflect on it quietly... this I have failed to do, but will endeavour to do it in the next week, whilst continuing to THINK.

During the next week is about clarifying my vision and deciding what I want in life... I’m already excited!

Amazing Paul, I am a Law of Attraction addict! Well done, I wish you a lot of success with your website and of course, your life, which I think is a fantastic example of what the law of attraction is really about. Looking forward to following your weekly videos and learning more with you. xoxoxox Pat

I really feel uplifted by all of this, it really is an eye opener to shrugging off everyone else’s problems and negativity whilst trying to concentrate on your own life and goals... It’s hard, but I think it’s just a case of 'pushing yourself' to achieve your goals.... you have this wonderful quality of energetic positivity about you, and what I love about you is, you are never to busy to reply to people, even if it’s just to say thank you for a comment left by people! That’s a lovely quality!! Especially as you’re in the public eye and busy with your work, family and kids! and your energy and enthusiasm for life amazes and encourages other people, so well done you for baloani!! I am loving the diaries, haha make me laugh at times as some times your sitting in ya jim jams just gabbin away! and thats why it’s not false at all.... take care Debster... Xx
