Thank you for visiting Baloani, which I hope will prove to be a great point of reference for your personal philosophical
and spiritual journey.
My name is Paul Becque. When I first dated my wife, she called me Beqster, and the name has stuck! Now my friends and work colleagues use it too.
Since I was a child I wanted to know what life is all about. Consequently, I’ve studied many different beliefs and kept an open mind.
Buddhism and Taoism have been very inspirational for me. And, more recently, “The Secret” and our growing knowledge of quantum physics has taken me to an even deeper level of commitment to my discoveries. “Baloani” is simply a video diary of my journey and a reference point for anyone that resonates with my exploration.

Blog week 3 -
Wow. I really thought that this was going to be an easy week. Chapter three is about defining the dream life... deciding what you want to do with your life so that you can set your personal satnav and get going. To do this, Jack Canfield requires you to write out the following lists, and I suggest you have a go:
When I read the four lists, I thought it was going to be easy enough... but when I began to write it stirred emotions within me. Memories of former dreams came through, reminders of who I thought I was going to be were ringing in my ears. I found myself justifying why I wasn’t who I’d planned to be... but then I remembered that I have to take 100% responsibility for who I am... it’s all MY fault! Suddenly the task wasn’t easy, and wasn’t even fun. It was painful. I decided to take a break.
Before returning to the task I read the chapter again, incase I had missed something.
I hadn’t. So I thought about the lists, my reaction, and considered my emotional
state. I was using the information I had learned from the book... I actually took
the time to THINK about what was going on in my mind. The answer came to me... I
had always aimed for the stars... dreamed being rich, famous, a movie star, living
in LA... but today, I had clearly become happy to compromise everything to find peace...
have an easier life... be normal... a dad, a husband, a five-

Whilst continuing
to “think” about his actions and thought processes, and “respond” rather than simply react, Beqster has defined the life of his dreams in seven major aspects. This was a lot more difficult that he expected, but he’s gone for the “dream!”

I think that the exercise had achieved exactly what Jack Canfield wanted because he includes the following quote:
Well, this project is about living your dreams, attracting it into your life... magnetising, intending... becoming everything you want. So I decided to go for it again, embracing my dreams, freeing my mind from reality and what we might consider to be possible. The following areas have been considered and included wherever possible:
Financial, Career, Free Time, Health, Relationships,
Personal Goals, Community Contribution
I thought it would be too much to list everything, so I’ve decided to list the first five from each list so that you are able to see where I’m pointing my satnav and where I’m trying to go. My success in achieving these goals, or failing to do so, will give you a great indication of whether the “Law of Attraction” as suggested in “The Secret” is real or not.
So here they are:
30 Things I Want to Do
1. star in a movie
2. star in a cartoon (voice over)
3. work in a West End show… “Fagin” in “Oliver!” would be my dream role
4. learn to fly a helicopter
5. go on retreats with distinguished talkers
30 Things I Want to Have
1. house in Amersham
2. Porsche Cayenne
3. holidays every year
4. more time with my family
5. beautiful large garden
30 Things I Want to Do Before I Die
1. go on a safari
2. go on a world cruise
3. meet Jack Canfield
4. prove that The Secret & Law of Attraction is a real force
5. make a difference to people’s lives
20 Things I Love to Do… and perhaps make a living at?
1. acting
2. inspiring people
3. making people laugh
4. making people feel better
5. meeting new people and new cultures
Throughout the rest of the week I took any opportunity to sit and think about my dream life and how it would look, how it would feel and how good it would feel to achieve. Each time it became clearer, more exciting and generated a buzz inside me. Funnily enough, my wife has become more interested in the project and decided to complete the lists herself. I encouraged it, because I thought it would provide me with an incredible insight to her dream life! She too has found it difficult, and has not yet completed the task, but much of what she has written blends our lives together nicely.
I know that many people will read these notes and think I’m a dreamer, over ambitious and even crazy. But at the same time, I’m very confident that many people would love to dream like this, and believe that it is possible. In fact, some of you may even want to help me achieve these goals, introduce me to friends and provide me with resources.
So, in conclusion. This exercise can seem simple, but if you do it correctly, it can be an emotional journey that may spark new life and ambition in you... give it a go!
Next week... Believe it’s possible.

Paul. Great idea to do the list, as I keep a diary anyway. I was looking at it just this morning and I took the time to notice it was full of things that I will be, or want to do for other people which is great as i find a great reward in giving to others, but it was then I realised I had nothing logged in my diary that I, wanted!! But, of course... there are many things I do want, and things I want to achieve, so I’m going to try and be more focused on myself, and my own needs... and from what I reap others will gain from. Thanks Paul :)

I needed help... Didn’t no where to turn.. I felt I had no hope and my life was this way and I couldn’t change it!!!!!!! I always thought I was a good person but I wasn’t getting what I wanted... I was letting the outside world control the inside... I’m now learning to switch that... and the way I look at myself and life around me... and my life is opening up already and is changing all the time... going forward into growth not back into safety... another wonderful saying I’ve learnt... ever since finding “The Secret” law of attraction, my life is on the up... I love life now...
I also studied the teachers on “The Secret” and then met Bob Proctor who stars in the film... last May in London. It was life changing, so he is my main mentor, truly amazing man and role model for anyone to truly live life as you’re meant too... so now I know everything is meant to be... and having some faith in yourself goes a long long way...
I used to have all bad days, but now, just bad parts, which I focus on, and then switch back to a good positive attitude... I carry a goal card in my pocket... a vision board... and love learning now!!! This really woke me up!!! It was life changing!!!
Now I have vision purpose goals in my life... which I’ve been learning about and the main thing is, you’ve got too apply it 2! So I’m a lot more happy with myself than I’ve ever been... and grateful for what I have in my life... just think, why not try to live your dream life too!!! why not me! if others have done it... then you can too! I wish everyone on here the very best.
